This week’s poster advertises the 4th Auckland Triennial, a cornerstone exhibition of international contemporary art in New Zealand, and a hallmark for contemporary art and dialogue in the Asia/Pacific region. It is staged at venues throughout Auckland including The Auckland Art gallery, Artspace, St Paul Street, The George Fraser Gallery & Shed 6.
The 2010 Auckland Triennial, curated by Natasha Conland, will present approximately 30 artists and an energetic programme of performances, speakers and forums, supported by a handsome publication. Launched in late summer on 12 March 2010, it began with a full programme, and concludes with a symposium coinciding with the 2010 Biennale of Sydney. The 4th Auckland Triennial looks set to generate a timely and prescient dialogue on issues of international contemporary art.
The poster itself is a brilliant example of one creative, 2 colour offset printed poster utilising a colour change out to produce set of 2 posters that are displayed on site together.
We just love it when a poster challenges & teases the viewer into exploring another world and this poster does just that with great colours and enticing imagery.
The 4th Auckland Triennial runs till the 20th June 2010

I was inclined to tell the Jim Wilson story to a fellow juicer recently, This guy is an inspiring character and I see his inpirees all over the place. That he is returning to NZ is a great benefit to the nation.
