Princeton Poster Run

Photo from Princeton Poster Run

On this run I was carrying Poem Posters by four or five New Zealand Poets. The poems were by Hilaire Campbell, Michele Leggott, Campbell McKay, Geoff Conchrane, and Janet Frame. I'm always proud to do this.

The day was very pleasant as I set off from Lambertville, New Jersey and up I-95 to Princeton. The trip takes about thirty minutes. Princeton is a beautiful town. The main street (Nassau Street) is good and wide and is dominated by the University. The town somehow just feels open and like there's a good, clean breeze blowing through it.

Press Release: 95bfm

Monday, February 1st 2010. Britomart Square, Auckland, New Zealand. Presented by 95bfm, C4 and Real Groove

The very first Laneway Festival in Auckland city is set to be an absolute doozy. From the seminal to the scene-starting, the esoteric to the exhilarating, the Laneway Festival brings you a roll call of artists that is as exciting as it is diverse. Laneway is a festival put together by folks who love music, for folks who love music- and there are plenty of us in New Zealand.

Nelson Arts Festival set to be best ever

Nelson Arts Festival Photo

It's been a long winter and Nelson is ready to party. The annual Nelson Arts Festival, now in it's 15th year, bursts onto the streets next week (Oct 16) with the Port Nelson Masked Parade, the curtain raiser to 12 days of theatre, music, dance and community events.

Nelson City Council Festival Producer Sophie Kelly says presales of tickets have hit record levels.

"There's a real air of excitement about the festival," she said. "It could be a reaction to winter and its grim economic news or maybe it's just the fantastic programme we have put together!"
